November 18-24, 2019 – Location: Online
Summer Camp Con – the one and only online summer camp conference.
Over 40 workshops by summer camp and industry professionals sharing their insights and knowledge on a variety of topics.
Come away with ideas and actionable steps to make your 2020 summer the best one yet!
Summer Camp Con is designed to be a high-quality, yet budget-friendly, professional development event for all camp professionals to attend.
It is a global event where camp professionals from all over the world are encouraged to participate.
For the head-honcho, the big-enchilada, the high-muckety-muck (is that a title?) and those aspiring to eventually become king of the hill.
We’ve got just the sessions for you!
From adapting spaces, finding new resources, and managing records to creating a master plan (not to be used for world domination) we’ve got the sessions you’ll need to take things to the next level!
The wonderful world of marketing. It doesn’t have to feel icky or hard. You’re not cold calling people to sell them a time-share that can only be used one week every other year for the dankiest resort and during non-peak or holiday dates unless I pay an additional…ahem, I digress…you’re selling a life changing experience!
With the clever tips from our presenters you’ll learn some pro tips and strategies for selling the amazing experience of camp.
As incredible as our programming prowess may be, there are always new ideas around the corner and things we can do bigger, better or different. Sometimes it’s good to mix things up or take things up a notch.
The advice and ideas from our speakers will help you create and deliver incredible, innovative, inexpensive, ingenious, irresistable (I ran out of “i” words) programs!
Working with today’s youth can be a bit of a conundrum.
We know that you’re awesome and you take what you do really seriously, that’s why we’ve invited some really smart folks with great ideas to help us get EVEN BETTER at supporting the young people we care so deeply about.
The very best way to ensure incredible programming, a safe and inclusive camp experience, and campers who feel seen and valued is to hire, train and properly supervise and support amazing staff!
Our presenters will share their knowledge and experience with you so that you are prepared to find and train the right staff and be that supervisor they deserve. Happy Staff, Happy Camp.
THE 3 TOP REASONS TO ATTEND
BRING ON THE KNOWLEDGE
We are all looking for new ideas, perspectives, and tactics.
SCampCon gives you the option to attend not just a few workshops, but with 24 hour replays (yep, 24 hour replays), you can watch (or re-watch) them ALL. And with the All-Access Pass you can watch the recordings over and over again until you’ve absorbed every bit of knowledge before graciously allowing the rest of the leadership staff to mooch off you as they “borrow” your login details.
Bottom line, even if you find just a couple of gold nuggets in these workshops, it could be the information that makes all the difference for your 2020 summer season.
SKIP THE TRAVEL AND HOTEL HASSLES
Booking airline and hotel reservations can be frustrating, especially if you’re looking for the most economical solutions. Don’t forget about the hassles with the TSA, crying babies, middle seats and lost luggage.
Once you finally make it to the hotel after your harrowing ride from the airport, you have to check-in, do your CSI search for bed bugs and…hey, what’s this resort fee?
Hopefully, you aren’t near the ice machine or elevator. Don’t forget the return flight home.
Instead of all that traveling, you can sit back and enjoy the workshops from the comfort of your office, home or local coffee shop if you want. You’ll still be able to ask questions and even chat with other participants. Woot!
SAVE THOSE BENJAMINS
Conferences require a large investment of time and money. After paying for registration, flights, hotel accommodations and all the other little incidentals and add-ons, you could end up spending over $1500.
What could you do with that extra money at camp…better crafts, new program, staff gifts, camp apparel, special guests, new computer, lots of lottery scratch-offs?

Meet Your Host
Curt “Moose” Jackson is a former camp director who now focuses on sharing his experience, ideas and collaborative efforts with camp professionals through a variety of online mediums.
- His blog SummerCampPro.com recently turned 10 years old. (That’s like 70 in dog years.)
- For those that particpate, his monthly email roundtables offer all kinds of great ideas and advice from a multitude of camp pros. (It pays to be on the inside. Get on his email list to join in on the fun.)
- He currently co-hosts an informative and entertaining podcast with Chris Kallal all about summer camp programming. (At least those two are entertained…not sure about the listeners.)
- He has written and created over 20 books and programs that can be found on PatchworkMarketplace.com. A handful can be found in print on Amazon, as well. (JK Rowling, you better look out.)
Born and raised in Southern California, Curt has lived in central Florida for almost two years with his dog Max, a Corgi mix. Before that, he lived and traveled the US in an RV for a couple of years (and can’t wait to do it again).
